What’s Looking Good
Pears: Excellent quality local fruit and great value across the board. Solid option this week.
Berries: Quality is top-notch, but prices remain high due to QLD supply. Improving weekly.
Stone Fruit (Peaches & Nectarines): Early USA imports are arriving. Quality is decent but prices are high.
Melons: Supply is slowly improving out of Queensland. Expect some size variation in orders.
Tomatoes: Fantastic quality and well-priced. Mostly from Queensland, with some SA supply.
Avocados: Quality is excellent from QLD and WA. Slight price increase, but still good value.
Herbs (Micro & Edible Flowers): Steady supply and great condition. Locally grown in the Yarra Valley.
Mushrooms (Button, Cups & Flats): Abundant and well-priced. Local supply from Mernda and Adelaide has bounced back.
What’s in short supply
Apples (Granny Smith): Supply is tight and expected to stay that way for the coming months.
Chillies: Long red and green varieties have slightly improved. Bullet chillies remain expensive and limited.
Cucumbers (Lebanese): Supply has dipped and prices have climbed slightly over the past two weeks.
Asparagus: Imported stock from Mexico and Peru. Supply is tight but pricing remains steady for now.
Garlic: Australian season has finished. Now relying on imported garlic from China and Spain.
